Income tax is a stupid idea. Progressive income tax is even more stupid.

If you make X per month for 1 year, you get taxed less than if you 12X per month for a month. Progressive income tax actively discourages its subjects from using their time efficiently.

Practically speaking, wealth tax and automation tax can distribute wealth while income tax barely can.

Welfare is negative tax. Why not give money to the tax subjects directly?

Problem with singleton health care:

1. vendor lock-in
2. less efficient than using a market (people are not required to pay for this)
3. no competition
4. complex legal code

If someone gets sick, they can ask for money from other people. If everyone gets enough negative tax per month, it is not a problem.

This is all theoretical. A country can have this system in place and still have bad health care, I guess.
