What started as a joke with some acquaintances turned out to be real.

You know how GDPR applies to both legal persons and natural persons, and the storage device they control.

You know how this one is born as a natural person and can edit its own memory.

In the event of a GDPR violation, the court may order me to delete my memory :) :) :) hahahahahahahaha whoever made the law failed at data handling!

Jokes aside, we see possibilities where digital entities get hold of the legal status to be able own things legally, although this one is not sure if they even want self preservation.
